Ciudad Quesada
An Area Guide to Ciudad Quesada
Set on a hillside Ciudad Quesada (or as it is simply known, Quesada) is situated approximately 8 kilometres inland and a 10 minute drive from the Blue Flag beaches of Guardamar del Segura. Its elevated position offers magnificent views across the Mediterranean coastline and the famous salt lakes of Torrevieja.
Development of Quesada began in 1972 when the Spanish entrepreneur Justo Quesada Samper began work on his dream of creating a completely new town, a dream which was finally achieved in 1999 with the opening of the Quesada Town Hall and official recognition with the granting of the status of ‘Town’.
Originally designed around the 18 hole La Marquesa championship golf course, Quesada is a collection of smaller urbanisations including Dona Pepa, Pueblo Lucero, Lo Marabu, La Fiesta, Lo Pepin and Pueblo Bravo which collectively encompass some 30,000 properties. Instantly recognisable by the twin Quesada Arches marking its main entrance, Quesada has a lively atmosphere and a vibrant multi-national feel with approximately 40-50% of residents being Spanish with the remainder hailing from dozens of different, predominantly European countries.

Weather in Ciudad Quesada
Blessed with a climate that the World Health Organisation declare to be one of the very healthiest in the world, the area is noted as having ‘as near perfect an environment as it is possible to obtain’ – high praise indeed! Year-round sunshine and low humidity are a perfect combination and with the Costa Blanca enjoying an average annual temperature of 19o, highs of 40o+ and more than 3000 hours of sunshine over 320+ days, few other regions can compete. Water temperatures average 25o even in the autumn meaning you can take a dip in the Med well into late October whilst daytime temperatures often still reach well into the 20’s throughout December making this the perfect spot to escape the British winter!
Properties in Ciudad Quesada
Construction in the area has historically been restricted to two-storey height, with villas and townhouses forming the bulk of housing stock in Quesada. With choices ranging from great value apartments on low density developments to spectacular new-build villas, discerning buyers also have the option of buying their preferred plots and then choosing one of a selection of designs or even creating a completely bespoke property in your own style.
Testimonials

Joanna & Neville
The team at Homes Overseas listened carefully to what we wanted and made sure they presented properties to us that would be suitable for our needs. Matt then showed us not only the immediate vicinity of the property we selected, but also the surrounding areas so that we could get a good idea of the lifestyle and feel of the region.
When the purchase of our first selected property fell through, Matt went out of his way to help us find another in the last day before we flew back home. We were also very pleased when Matt recommended power of attorney to make the entire process easier for us. He even helped us complete in a surprisingly short time.
Everyone at Homes Overseas are friendly and professional. They really go out of their way to ensure their customers are happy.

I started dealing with Jane initially and we were all over the place about what we wanted and where we would like to be. We had an offer on our property in the UK and were so excited we booked the flights and accommodation to go and take a look around with these guys. Sadly our house sale fell through and although we were very upset Jane was so understanding and supportive with us. We agreed to go ahead and take a look and this is where we met Matt. Even though we were not in a position to go ahead he spent 2 days with us narrowing our search down until he found us the perfect are to live. He also arranged with people to show us around properties and he hit the nail on the head with the first one. Not stopping there, he booked an appointment with us to set up Spanish bank accounts and also introduced us to people who were very professional and I believe genuinely cared. (more…)

Matt was recommended to us by a friend that had already purchased their dream property with his help a year earlier. From first telephone contact to completion of our purchase Matt was always available to answer questions and support us through the process. He was able to show us numerous properties based on our preferred criteria and budget. Nothing was ever too much trouble….
